After 28 years in the same unit Cricket approached R2 Architecture to design their first purpose designed unit. Being one of Europe’s leading independent luxury fashion retailers, with Vogue Editor Edward Enninful describing it as his ‘favourite place to shop’ working closely with Cricket founder Justine Mills to create a high-concept interior that maintained the brands core values but moved the retailer forward into the future.

The existing space was radically redesigned by introducing a new staircase into the unit that connects men’s and women’s floors and extends up to a concealed stock area. This vertical connection has been moved into a window to create a three dimensional catwalk that animates the street elevation.

The client Justine Mills, said: "It's a new chapter in the history of Cricket. It's a big move because we've been at Cavern Walks for 28 years…We're really pleased with the outcome of the new shop and I'm really excited about what the future holds.”
